The UK is now into its third day of battling with extreme weather conditions. This freezing cold weather has been nicknamed “The Beast from the East” by weather reporters across the country.

Hundreds of schools have been forced to close, railways have had to cancel many rail services, airports have suspended flights and there has been major disruption on the roads. With temperatures forecast to go as low as -11C in places this is the coldest spell the UK has seen since 1991. Further weather warnings are in place across the UK over the next couple of days.
