Charity raises £50,000 for respite caravan

Caravanning can bring a much-needed escape at the best of times, however we were delighted to hear of a successful charity campaign to give families going through tough ordeals a taste of the outdoor lifestyle.

Alice’s Escapes organises trips in the Lake District area for families with seriously ill children and the organisation has just raised enough funds to purchase a new caravan.

The campaign was spearheaded by volunteer Vicky Pyne, who led a team taking on the massive challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise the £50,000 required.

Vicky and her co-climbers have now passed their target, with the total donations received now standing at over £59,000. You can contribute by clicking here.
