Coast is very pleased to be sponsoring the Veteran Rider ranking in the 2018 South East Eventers League.
The South East Eventers League was founded in 1995 and is the UK’s oldest regional eventing league. Throughout the eventing season competitors and their horses that are stabled/registered in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Essex can accumulate points when competing at qualifying events in the South East Eventers League Championship. This year’s SEEL qualifying events include popular BE events held at Tweseldown, Munstead, Goring, South of England, Chilham, Borde Hill, Eridge, Firle Place, Wellington, Smiths Lawn and Brightling Park.
The league is made up of 12 different rankings each focused at different levels and types of competitors and horses. The 2018 South East Eventers League will comprise of the following ranking sections:
– Leading Horse and Rider
– SEEL International Ranking
– Grassroots Overall leading Rider
– BE100
– BE90
– BE80
– Veteran Rider
– Veteran Horse
– Leading Mare
– Leading Novice
– Leading Under 21 Rider
– Racehorse to Eventer
This year also sees a new addition to the South East Eventers League, the Southern Arena Eventing Series. This series is jointly run by Brendon Stud (Pyecombe), Coombelands Equestrian and Petley Wood Equestrian. The arena eventing series will run qualifiers from October 2017 to the end of February 2018 and finals will then be held in March 2018. After the finals in March qualifiers will then recommence and run through to the end of February 2019.
The first events for this year’s South East Eventers League will be:
- 24th – 25th February, Arena Eventing Finals at Brendon Stud, Pyecombe
- 8th – 11th March, British Eventing at Tweseldown Racecourse, Fleet
