Coast’s Choice: a quick re-cap
There are still a few places to visit in the final stages of Coast Choice’s English leg. However, before we look at the remaining counties, the Coast team thought it would be useful to give you a quick re-cap of the areas we’ve already visited – just in case you’ve missed an instalment!
Our journey started in Coast’s home county of Sussex, where we took a trip along the Bluebell Railway among other hot spots, before admiring Runnymede in Surrey and Hampshire’s New Forest.
We looked beyond Stonehenge on our visit to Wiltshire, marvelled at Dorset’s Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, walked the Walled Gardens of Cannington in Somerset and crawled through Kent’s Cavern in Devon before reaching the south west peak of England with our review of things to do in Cornwall.
Next, we traversed the western side of the country, including visits to Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire.
We raved about Cheshire’s Weaver Hall Museum, gawped at Gawthorpe Hall in Lancashire, were totally smitten with Tullie House in Cumbria and went crazy for Cragside House in Northumberland.
Then it was time to journey down the east side of England and into the midlands through Durham, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire.
Most recently our favourite haunts have included Buckinghamshire’s
, the Mossman Carriage Collection in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire hidden gem, the St Ives Bridge Cathedral.
Our journey isn’t over yet though, so make sure you check the website every Tuesday for our latest Coast’s Choice feature. You can also look back through previous instalments by clicking on the county names within this story.
