Top tips
The last thing you think about when planning a holiday is your travel insurance. If you have already got your schedule planned make sure you don’t forget about your travel insurance. Coast Insurance can cover you on holiday. Give us a call or complete our form on the travel insurance page.
Are you an avid traveler?
If you are planning your next holiday you may need multi trip travel insurance. This could save time and money. However if you, like the majority of us, go once a year a single trip insurance will suffice.
Adventurous activities
If you are abseiling off the Eifle tower or canoeing down the Andes your normal travel insurance may not cover you. Call us here at Coast insurance and we can advice you and importantly get you covered.
Be organised
Don’t leave it until the last minute. Take out travel insurance at the same time as you book your holiday. Then if your circumstances change and you are no longer able to travel you will be covered.
Airline failure
If you already have travel insurance in place, it might be worth checking the small print for airline failure. Many policies won’t include airline insolvency as standard.
Driving abroad
For those planning on driving abroad, make sure to check with your car insurance that you’re covered for this. If you intend to drive in Europe, you will likely need a Green Card to show you’re insured in the coming months.
Focus on quality
You need piece of mind. While it may be tempting to opt for the cheapest policy, this may not provide you with the coverage you expect it to. When seeking travel insurance go for quality and focus on the genuine value it can add to your trip.
Tell the truth
If you have a pre-existing illness or have been affected by illness in the past, it may be tempting to omit this detail when seeking insurance. Avoid doing this as it can invalidate your cover should you need to make a claim.
Groups cover
If you are travaling in a group you may be tempted to cover the group in one insurance. This may be more expensive as one persons existing illness may ramp up the price. Call Us and we can advise you the best way to go.
Protect your gadgets
It is worth knowing that many travel insurance policies won’t cover for lost, broken or stolen technology when you’re abroad, so if you need cover for these it’s worth arranging top-up gadget cover to supplement your travel insurance. That why its always best to speak to the experts.
