With the festival season fast approaching it is time to start getting yourself prepared. Here at Coast we prefer to avoid the rain and mud and take our own caravans and motorhomes, why spend the night camping in a soggy tent when you could have a few home comforts?

Here are a few things to consider if you also plan to take your caravan or park home to a festival in 2016:

  • Check that the festival allow for caravans or motorhomes onsite, as some only allow tents.
  • Be aware that at most festivals everyone staying onsite will also be required to obtain a festival ticket too.
  • Keep in mind that if your vehicle is longer than 8 meters you may be required to purchase two caravan/campervan tickets to cover the extra space required.
  • If you are taking a touring caravan, ensure that you are able to park your car onsite at no extra costs.
  • Check if you are allowed to take your own food/ drink onto the site. Also be aware that in some areas glass is not allowed.
  • Check what facilities will be available onsite in case you want to pack any added extras.
  • Check the security of the site. It is important that your vehicle and belongings are safe.

For extra protection you should also ensure that your insurance is up to date. Here at Coast we offer competitive rates on your caravan or motorhome insurance so call 0800 614 849 for a free quotation. Alternatively, you can also visit us online at www.coastinsurance.co.uk.
