Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live in a Lego world?

Now you have the chance to experience that feeling if you visit the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu in the United Kingdom, where a life-size caravan made entirely from Lego blocks will be exhibited. It holds a rather unusual Guinness record for “the largest caravan built with interlocking plastic bricks.”

Measuring 3.6 meters long, 2.2 meters tall, and weighing in at 1,200 kilograms (2,645 pounds), the caravan is built from 215,158 plastic Lego bricks, but does almost everything a real caravan can do with electric lights and seats folding into a bed. The sink you see in the attached images is not fake as there’s even running water, but the eggs, mushrooms, and tomatoes being cooked in the frying pan are, of course, not real.

According to its creators, Lego building specialist Bright Bricks, the caravan took over two months to build and more than 1,000 man-hours. A conventional caravan chassis was used as a base and all other elements were created from standard off-the-shelf Lego pieces with no custom-made components.

It was actually finished some two years ago in support of the National Caravan Council’s “Freedom to Go” campaign, aiming to change “the public perception of leisure vehicles, inspire and educate them about holidays in trailer tents, motorhomes, touring caravans, caravan holiday homes and lodges.”

This Lego caravan could very well be one of our favorite Lego creations of all time. It will probably have to share the crown with classic kits from the Lego Technic series and the Peugeot 205 T16 Evolution 2 rally car from WRC’s Group B era. Oh, and don’t forget the cool kits from the Lego Champions collection.
