What to Pack on Your Caravan Holiday
The holiday season is finally here. So the Coast team have thought up a list of things you’ll need to pack for your caravan holiday!
The Car Journey
Often travelling to a campsite can be long and tiring, so it is important to make sure you are fully prepared (especially if you are travelling with children!)
Things we recommend to pack are…
- Drinks and food! (the driver especially needs to be kept well fed & hydrated).
- A map/ sat-nav… unless you have done the journey numerous times, as you don’t want to get lost!
- Your car insurance details, breakdown cover information and driving license.
- Toys, books and DVDS to keep children amused.
- Passports and travel documentation (if travelling abroad).
- And of course, if you are towing your caravan… you’ll need to take that too!
The Bedroom
Some sites provide or allow you to rent bed linen for the duration of your stay. However, if they don’t you will need to pack bedding or sleeping bags (make sure you check before you go).
The Bathroom
- Towels are sometimes provided but again, you need to double check this before you go.
- Hand towels
- Toiletries
- Toothbrush
- Toilet roll
The Kitchen
- Food and drink
- Washing up equipment!
- Tea towels
- Kitchen Roll
- Cleaning products
- Cutlery and crockery are sometimes provided but again you need to double check
Extras
- Clothes and shoes (boots and a rain coat could come in handy)
- First Aid- plasters, disinfectant, pain killers, insect bite repellent and antiseptic cream in case of bites, Calpol for the children.
- Activities- swimming kit, outdoor games, board games, playing cards etc.
- A BBQ if you plan on cooking outside.
- Chargers for phones, music devices etc.
Also, don’t forget to insure your caravan and possessions! To find out more about caravan insurance from Coast or to get a quote, call us free on 0800 614 849 or log-on to our online quote generator.
