Christmas in your Caravan

Many people wouldn’t dream of spending Christmas in their caravan, however a number of caravan lovers say it is their favourite time to get away and have some festive fun with their family.

Most modern touring caravans are well equipped and suitable for winter use and many camp sites are open all year round. It is important however to research campsites fully before booking to ensure that the basic utilities will be open to campers.

Here are some tips if you fancy spending Christmas in your caravan:

1. Take extra blankets- if the temperature drops you will be grateful for extra blankets to wrap up warm in.

2. Take warm clothing- again, we all know that December isn’t the warmest time of the year. Layer up to ensure that you stay warm.

3. Take outdoor clothing- with the colder weather often comes rain, ensure to take waterproof clothing with you to keep you from getting soaked.

4. Gas- be sure to take enough gas with you to keep you warm and to cook on.

5. Stock up on food- pack enough food to last you for your holiday, as it is a quiet season the onsite shops may be closed. Also ensure you have all the ingredients for your Christmas dinner!

6. Decorations- keep up the festive spirt by decorating your caravan the same way you would your home.
