Fast lane shakeup for F1 motorhomes

Our marketing assistant is a huge motorsport fan and happened to spot an interesting story about motorhomes in Formula 1 on the Autosport website recently.

F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has revealed plans to shakeup the layout of the Grand Prix paddock in order to stop the sport’s top drivers hiding away in their motorhomes.

From now on, driver’s motorhomes will be parked further away from their garages to force stars including Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso to walk through the paddock and meet the fans between free practice, qualifying and the race.

This change is part of Ecclestone’s attempts to make Formula 1 one more fan friendly, increasing the opportunity for Grand Prix visitors to see their heroes and collect an autograph. It will also make it easier for television companies and journalists to track down drivers and team personnel for interviews during the weekend.

Of course, it’s not just those living in the fast lane that own a motorhome – Coast receives a lot of calls from people looking for a motorhome insurance quotation. Call Freephone 0800 614 849 to speak to a member of our sales team.
