National Caravan Council announces award scheme winners
The best servicing firms in the leisure industry have been honoured at the National Caravan Council Approved Workshop Scheme Awards.
The Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) recognises companies that provide outstanding quality maintenance and servicing for touring caravans and motorhomes. It is supported by all major leisure vehicle manufacturers and more than 300 workshops – both mobile and fixed base – now qualify for AWS status.
Now in its second year, the awards recognise the best performing AWS businesses. Leisure Tech North East triumphed in the Approved Mobile Workshop of the Year category, while Salisbury firm Tilshead Caravans Ltd clinched the Approved Workshop of the Year (Fixed Base) title.
“These awards represent a fantastic achievement by all workshops, but highlight those that have managed to attain incredibly high scores in the requisite areas,” commented AWS Manager John Hartley. “My congratulations go out to all our worthy winners, it proves the personal touch works every time”.
As part of the AWS programme, major motorhome and caravan manufacturers permit AWS member workshops to undertake annual servicing on their leisure vehicles without it having an effect on unused warranty.
More information on the Approved Workshop Scheme can be found here.
Even if your caravan or motorhome is regularly serviced by an approved workshop, it is important to take out a dedicated caravan insurance policy to protect it in the event of an accident or damage. Coast can offer you comprehensive touring caravan insurance and motorhome insurance at a competitive price.
