NCC backs ‘Approved Dealer’ scheme

The National Caravan Council (NCC) has backed a new scheme that officially recognises selected caravan dealers as authorised traders.

The new ‘Approved Dealer’ scheme will be governed by a strict code of practice, aiming to set a high standard of service across dealership marketing, customer service, sales conduct, complaints procedures and warranty fulfilment.

The programme will only be open to NCC members and businesses that meet the criteria will have to pay a membership fee.

“[Seeing] the Approved Dealer sign gives customers reassurance that a dealership has been independently assessed, has good customer protection and operates to industry best practice,” Frank Finch, NCC code manager, told Practical Caravan magazine.
