Plans passed for new Skegness caravan park

Static caravan owners in the Skegness area will soon be able to take advantage of state-of-the-art facilities after East Lindsey District Council approved plans to build a new static caravan park.

The 140-plot site will be located in Chapel St Leonards and will include tennis courts, outdoor games areas, a children’s playground and an ornamental lake.

Although some local residents were concerned that excavation work needed to create the facility would increase the risk of flooding in the area, the council voted through plans based on the positive impact an influx of holidaymakers would have on local business and tourism. Building work will be overseen by Blue Anchor Leisure, the driving force behind the project.
