Your guide to The Caravan Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC
If you’re coming along to the NEC this month for The Caravan Camping & Motorhome Show, here’s Coast’s guide to what to look out for during your visit.
Celebrity guests
Broadcaster, traveller and adventurer Ben Fogle will be opening the show on Tuesday 17th February. Come and talk to Ben about one of his many adventures, from crossing Antarctica on foot to rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.
Olympic gold medallist Sally Gunnell will be at the show with her dog Diggy. Look out for their performance in the Dog Agility Theatre. Sally is a high-profile supporter of active family initiatives in the UK and will be happy to answer any questions you might have on health and fitness.
Rising star Melodie King will be attending the show to discuss her active lifestyle as a professional surfer. At just 17 Melodie has travelled to some of the best coastal spots around the continent. Melodie will be happy to recommend some of her favourite beaches, many of which can be found in her home county, Cornwall.
Lastly if you didn’t catch him at the Manchester show, TV and radio presenter Matt Baker will be back to share how he makes the most of all the UK countryside has to offer.
Latest caravans and motorhomes
Major manufacturers will be showcasing their latest leisure vehicles. Among the big brands being represented in Birmingham are Adria, Bailey, Coachman, Elddis, Lunar, Swift and Trigano.
Expert advice
Every accessory you can possibly think of to make caravanning even easier will be on sale throughout the NEC’s halls, with experts offering advice on making the most of outdoor living – whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro.
Improve your driving skills
For some hands-on activities during the day, driving tutors will be offering masterclasses in towing a caravan and manoeuvring a motorhome.
Activities
There’s plenty of family friendly free fun to be had as well, from live cooking demonstrations to the shows first outdoor-style fashion show!
