Bailey builds 30,000th Alu-Tech leisure vehicle

Congratulations to caravan and motorhome manufacturer Bailey, which is celebrating the production of its 30,000th leisure vehicle using its patented Alu-Tech method of construction.

Launched in 2007, Alu-Tech is a revolutionary method of creating caravan and motorhome chassis that are strong and durable yet still lightweight. Built from an interlocking aluminium framework, the construction process reduces the number external fixing points required, which in turn decreases the points at which water can penetrate the vehicle.

Bailey staff have calculated that if all 30,000 Alu-Tech manufactured leisure vehicles where placed end-to-end, the line would stretch 180 miles.

“Since its introduction five years ago, Alu-Tech has changed the way people think about leisure vehicle construction,” Bailey’s Nick Howard told Caravan Times. “To have reached this milestone in such a short period of time is testimony to the popularity of the benefits the system provides to customers and its proven track record of performance in use.”
