Cornwall holiday park launches free break initiative

We all look forward to a week away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, but what happens if you can’t afford an annual holiday? One caravan site in Cornwall is addressing this issue through the launch of a charity break scheme.

Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park in Padstow has pledged to give away a static caravan holiday to a deserving family for every 100 paid bookings it takes.

The campaign has caught the eye of both local press and famous faces, with TV personality Fern Britton among those to praise Mother Ivey’s gesture. Families will be selected with the assistance of charities in the South West.

Several other holiday park sites in the local area including Surf Bay Holidays and Hendra Holiday Park have also pledged to give away holidays to those in need in support of the good work being done by Mother Ivey owners Patrick and Meg Langmaid.

If you’re struggling to afford a break, a caravan or motorhome holiday in the UK could prove a lot more cost-effective than taking a trip to a hotel or Bed & Breakfast.

It’s important that you’re protected from expensive repair bills if something goes wrong, however, which is why you must make sure you have touring caravan cover, static caravan insurance or motorhome insurance.
