Dethleffs unveils new concept motorhome

Motorhome fans can take a first look at the next generation of mobile leisure vehicle as German manufacturer Dethleffs has unveiled ‘Evan’, its new concept A-Class motorcaravan.

Intended for production launch in 2013, the Evan prototype has been designed by Michael Studer to embody flexibility and compact use of space.

Measuring 18 feet in length – considerably short for an A-Class motorcaravan – the prototype features two fixed double beds and six travel seats. When not in transit, a retractable pull down bed can be stored in the cabin roof, while the motorhome also includes two gas cartridge cookers, fully functional kitchen, fridge, shower, wash bowl and removable Porta Potty.

“I’ve been following the idea for some time and now it is time for a new vehicle concept,” said Studer. “A flexible, compact one which combines the advantages of various motorhome concepts.”
