Motorhome firm wins Dragons’ Den investment

Motorhome and caravan covers firm Protec are celebrating a major investment boost after receiving £75,500 on the BBC television series Dragons’ Den.

The Bradford-based company offered a 26% stake in their business, which sells NCC-approved protective covers for the exterior of caravans, motorhomes and large valuable items such as electrical goods.

Despite being criticised for giving something of a dull pitch, both Duncan Bannatyne and Hilary Devey invested £37,500 in Protec. This is the second time Devey has embraced an outdoor living product as she previously invested in caravan/motorhome specialist mattress producer Raskelf Duvalay.

Protec plans to spend the money on a European expansion programme. You can find out more about their products by clicking here.

Protecting your caravan or motorhome means more than putting a cover on it, though; specialist caravan insurance or motorhome cover could be the best option. For a competitive insurance quotation from Coast call our UK based sales team on Freephone 0800 614 849.
