Simon Cowell splashes out $2 million on VIP motorhome
How’s this for a luxury motorhome: music mogul Simon Cowell has splashed out $2 million on a state-of-the-art RV to use during the filming of X Factor USA.
The two bedroom, two bathroom ‘moving mansion’ weighs 30 tonnes and takes up 1,200 square feet. Among the fine materials used in its construction are Italian cherrywood for the kitchen cabinets and all-granite washroom facilities.
According to the Daily Mail website, Cowell’s motorhome can be used in both one and two storey layouts with glass panels separating each room that can be changed from transparent to opaque.
Among the home comforts the television producer has installed are a home cinema with a 100 inch screen and a dedicated upstairs makeup room to help him perfect his signature style ahead of each live X Factor episode.
Cowell is equally worried about feeling as good as he looks – the magnificent motorhome carries $150,000 in medical supplies and he has a round-the-clock television link-up to his doctor if he starts to feel under the weather.
Your motorhome might be slightly more modest, but it’s still important to protect your asset by taking out motorhome insurance or campervan insurance. For a competitive quotation, call Coast’s friendly sales team on Freephone 0800 614 849.
