Top 100 holiday parks revealed
The time of year has come around again when most of us are starting to plan our summer holiday.
If you’re hoping to take your touring caravan or motorhome away for a few days in the UK, you might be interested to read Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome’s guide to the Top 100 Sites in Britain.
The full guide book is available free of charge with this month’s edition of both magazines, however here is a sneak peek at some of the winning venues…
Northern Ireland
Top of the pile across the water is Rushin House in County Fermanagh, which boasts spotless facilities and a loyal customer base. As one customer remarked to site owner Cathal O’Dolan, “you have a fantastic location and the scenery is lovely, but if the washrooms were dirty, none of that would matter.”
Scotland
Kippford Holiday Park triumphed in the Scottish site category. This Dumfries and Galloway park is situated in an area nicknamed ‘Scotland’s Riviera’ and the grounds include an 8000-year-old private bluebell wood.
Wales
Overall honours in 2013 were awarded to The Plassey Leisure Park – a caravan site and craft centre. It has a family-friendly atmosphere with facilities such as a heated indoor swimming pool, adventure playground and golf course.
A full run-down of the Top 100 UK Sites, including England’s best holiday park, is available in the May issue of Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome, on sale now.
Before you set off anywhere on holiday this year, make sure your insurance policy is up to date. To renew your caravan insurance or motorhome insurance with Coast call Freephone 0800 614 849. Caravan owners can also buy touring caravan insurance online.
