Stored caravans destroyed in site fire

Around 60 caravans in winter storage have been destroyed following a major fire at a Gloucestershire touring and static caravan park.

Croft Farm Leisure & Water Park was closed for the season when the blaze broke out on Sunday 24th November, although unofficial reports claim a social event was taking place in the clubhouse at the time.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service dispatched 11 crews to tackle the fire, which did not pose any threat to the local community and thankfully nobody was hurt. A large number of touring caravans and static homes being stored on-site during the winter months were, however, damaged or completely destroyed in the incident.

No official statement about the fire has been made on the Croft Farm website and the site is expected to open for the spring/summer touring season as usual on 1st March next year.
